From a Canadian island to the Californian desert, Courtney LaPlante and her bandmates have thrived in the middle of nowhere. Revolver visits them at home on Vancouver Island, Canada to hear how the hype of “Holy Roller” was just a seed planted well over a decade ago into the upcoming debut Eternal Blue recorded in Joshua Tree — thematically about “insecurity, anxiety and mental health — things that I think are really universal, [but] stuff that [also] makes me feel so isolated, according to LaPlante.” Now, they're poised to take over the world.
